Yesterday's field trip to the Buffalo Science Museum was a huge hit! The campers went on a guided tour to see what the museum offers followed by free time in the InMotion exhibit where they touched, moved, prodded, and pulled. The Discovery 4 & 5 campers will embark on their own field trip to the museum tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Sports campers continued their week of Obscure sports by managing their way through Mr. Bob's miniature golf course. Challenge Quest campers continued working on their Rube Goldberg machines. Yesterday, they enjoyed a visit from the school's art teacher who taught them about 3-D printers.
OnStage campers had their head shots taken in preparation for Friday's show.
Photography campers thoroughly enjoyed their walk and field trip to the Buffalo Zoo where they captured the wild life on film.
A snapshot of today's fun activities:
1. Discovery campers read a couple books on the library's story stairs this morning.
2. Sports campers practiced their new golf skills, and they also played a competitive game of Mat Ball.
3. OnStage continued practicing for their upcoming show. They also took a field trip to Shakespeare in the Park at Delaware Park.
4. Challenge Quest continued building their Rube Goldberg machines.
Today's day at the pool was particularly special. Ms. Clare Wagstaff took her scuba gear and joined the kids in the pool as they splashed around. Fortunately, she was able to take video footage of our swimmers.
Challenge Quest, Sports, and Discovery 6 & 7 campers all enjoyed an afternoon visit from SkyZone coaches who taught them about fitness and wellness.

Today Discovery campers learned about controlled rockets with the use of a balloon, string and tape.
Challenge Quest began their day with a Minute to Win it challenge. Each camper had to empty a can of pop to a specific amount so it would balance on one side.
Discovery 5 campers made chocolate shortbread from the UK in celebration of World Travelers week.
Sports campers played a game of floor hockey.
OnStage campers began blocking their upcoming show.
We're off to an awesome start of our 5th week here at summer camp!
Challenge Quest began learning about simple machines before they embark on a week filled of Rube Goldberg Machines.
Discovery campers learned plenty about volcanoes and the science behind them while they experimented with their very own "lava." Discovery 5 campers learned a little about Chinese culture and how to say hello.
Sports campers enjoyed the weather outside as they played "Bennis," a combination sport of baseball and tennis.
Photography campers wowed their counselors with the photos they were already able to take, and they learned about the foundation of photography and how to utilize any camera.
OnStage campers began learning the songs of Oklahoma, and they prepared for their auditions.
Yesterday's trip to Fantasy Island was a huge success for all! Challenge Quest campers really learned what it meant to defy gravity, and Sports campers used their athletic abilities trying out all the rides they have to offer. Sports campers finished their unit on badminton, while Comedy campers were gearing up for their show tomorrow.
Today's field trip to SkyZone was a hit for Comedy campers. They told jokes while jumping and letting off some steam on the trampolines.
Discovery 6 & 7 campers learned the choreography and lyrics for their upcoming show. They also cooled down in the sprinklers. Discovery 3.5, 4, and 5 campers took a field trip to the Jungle Gym at Fitness 360.
OnStage did a dress rehearsal of Peter Pan in order to iron out any last minute kinks.
We look forward to three great presentations/performances by Comedy Camp, OnStage, and Challenge Quest. We hope to see everyone there!
Today has been an exciting day! The campers are growing in many ways every day!
Discovery 7 campers began the day making props for their show next week. Discovery 3.5 and 4 campers spent a lot of time on the playground, and they learned how to aim for a target in Sports class. Discovery 5 campers made tie dye t-shirts among many other fun things. Discovery 6 campers have become experts with the Fuse beads, and they all took a jump into the deep end of the pool.
Comedy campers spent a lot of the morning working on their Vine videos for their upcoming show. Sports and Challenge Quest campers spent the day at Fantasy Island riding all of the rides. OnStage continued rehearsing for Peter Pan, and they also learned how to use the spotlights.

The fourth week has started with a bang! Last week's field trip to SkyZone was great! Challenge Quest campers jumped for an hour.
Comedy campers finished up their cartoons today.
Discovery campers stayed cool in the sprinklers, at the pool, and with water balloons.
OnStage campers practiced their dance routines and the singing for their upcoming play.
Sports campers continued their Crazy Court Challenges with hand ball, and they made ice cream in the afternoon.

The OnStage is trucking along on their play Peter Pan, and they also enjoyed another visit from guest speaker, Cynthia Darling. She spoke to them about costumes.
Discovery 3.5, 4 and 5 campers went on a field trip to Westwood Park in Lancaster. The new playground was a hit!
Sports camp practiced their basketball skills, and they teamed up with Challenge Quest to play a game of Capture the Flag.
Challenge Quest campers began constructing their very own hover crafts.
Comedy campers started animating their story boards/comedy cartoons.

It has been a great day at EFS! The Comedy campers took a field trip to Helium Comedy Club, meanwhile OnStage continued working on their play. They also played various theatre games to get them ready for their upcoming performance. Sports campers participated in a series of net games, including volleyball, four square, and soccer. Challenge Quest campers began their challenge of creating a contraption that would keep an egg from cracking after being dropped from the highest point on the rock climbing wall. Master Khechen treated the Discovery campers to a Martial Arts demonstration, and he and his team taught us a few of his moves. See the video below!
