It's hard to believe that another summer is finished at Elmwood Franklin Summer Camp! We hope all campers had a wonderful summer and made many happy memories. We are so thankful for our great camp staff who worked so hard everyday! We are already looking forward to next summer. See you in June 2018!
It's hard to believe we're preparing to wrap another summer of Elmwood Franklin Summer Camp. We were excited by the return of our Wilderness Explorer campers today from Letchworth. They had a fabulous time and they all returned tired, but happy! OnStage! had their first dress rehearsal for tomorrow's show Alice in Wonderland. The show begins at 2:30, and promises to be another wonderful event. Discovery 5 campers were off to Explore and More Museum. They were able to tinker and play all afternoon. Discovery campers had their last swim lessons this morning and everyone is ready for one last "Free-Time Friday" tomorrow. We do have some extra camp sweatshirts and water bottles for sale in the camp lobby. Stop in to see what's available.
A day of Fun in the Sun! Discovery 3 and 4 created their own animal masks today. Discovery 7 was off to tinker at the Apple Store this afternoon. Paper Roller Coasters explored ramps, speed, acceleration, and cause and effect by playing Monster Mini Golf. Backyard Games and Paper Roller Coasters joined together this morning to play Mission Impossible. Art camp created with paper mache today. We've heard from our campers at Letchworth State Park, and they are having a great time hiking, swimming, and exploring.
Happy August everyone! Discovery 6 went down to Canalside for fun games and Kids Create activities sponsored by the Buffalo Science Museum. Art camp was off to the Albright Knox Art Gallery. Discovery Campers went to the pool this morning and then had some fun water games at camp during Sports class. In Science class they spent time tinkering with straws and marshmallows. OnStage! is very busy putting some of the finishing touches on Alice in Wonderland. Backyard Games played Skyball and Wiffleball. We are happy to hear that our Wilderness campers arrived at Letchworth State Park. We hope they have great weather!
