Discovery (3.5-4, 5, 6, 7)
During weekly field trips the campers visit a variety of locations in Western New York and develop a sense of exploration and fun. From feeding the seals at the Niagara Aquarium, making Kazoos at the world famous factory in Eden, to getting to sit in a pilot’s seat in a U.S. Air Force plane, everyone’s tastes are accounted for!
Each week these campers have unique field trips that relate specifically to the subject content. In the past, the group has investigated electricity and made their hair stand on end at the Power Vista, fed the giraffes and sea loins at the Buffalo Zoo, and attended a Bison game downtown.
* Wilderness Explorers also have an overnight stay at EFS in the first week, and two nights off site in the second week.
During the rehearsals for each production, the OnStage campers visit a theater related location around the Western New York area. In the past they have had a behind the scenes tour of Shea’s Performing Arts Center, Irish Classical Theatre, Shakespeare in Delaware Park and visited the University at Buffalo’s theater department.
