This is a unique camp for the WNY. Lead by a very experienced Wilderness First Responder, camper and teacher, this session aims to be an introduction to outdoor living skills, exploration, and camping.
Learn to build a fire, cook outdoors, construct a survival shelter, navigate using a compass and map to become a EFS Wilderness Explorer. Based at EFS for the first week, campers will spend one night on site in our giant teepee to get a first taste of camping.
During week two, campers will continue to build on those skills from week one and in addition spend two consecutive nights off-site camping in either Letchworth State Park or Alleghany State Park, hiking and using the skills they have developed in the field.
Over both weeks campers will get to swim, kayak/canoe, and take weekly field trips to fun locations.
