This opportunity is designed specifically for EFS and camp alumni who are interested in learning more about working in a summer camp setting.

Requirements:

•  At least 15 years of age as of June 1, 2026
•  Have at least two years experience as a camper at any day or overnight summer camp

What is expected from you:
A consecutive two-week volunteer commitment from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. each weekday. Because of the great number of people wanting to have the CIT experience, we can only accommodate CITs for the two-weeks.  Being a CIT all summer is not an option.  CITs interested in working in the OnStage! camp must be available for the entirety of one show.  CITs are not allowed overnight in the Wilderness Camp.  Please have a professional, enthusiastic, friendly and helpful nature, a flexible personality, and an eagerness to work with children aged 3.5 through to 13. Placement is at the discretion of the Camp Director, based on need. We are not able to accommodate requests.

What you can expect from the camp:

•  Experience working with professional teachers and counselors
•  Participation in fantastic weekly field trips
•  A high level of training in a specific area and age group
•  Certification in First Aid and CPR
•  An official CIT camp t-shirt
•  Community service credit
•  A letter of recommendation
•  Experience that may lead to a paid position as a Junior Counselor at EFS Summer Camp
