Wilderness Explorers (8-14 Years)
We are planning on sleep aways running as scheduled but please check here for any changing procedures for Wilderness Camp!
These camps are currently limited to 10 campers. This unique camp, led by experienced Wilderness First Responders, campers, and teachers, introduces kids to outdoor living skills, exploration, and camping. Campers will learn to build a fire, cook outdoors, construct a survival shelter, navigate using a compass and map to become a EFS Wilderness Explorer. During the first week, campers will experience tent camping right on-site at EFS. During the second week of each session, campers will build on their skills learned in week one while spending two nights camping in either Allegany State Park or Letchworth State Park. Adirondack Adventure This session is for experienced campers only. Campers will spend four nights during the second week in the Adirondack Mountains. There is no sleepover at EFS during this session. Campers MUST be between the ages of 10-14. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Directors Steve Szymkowiak and Peter Johnson (Certified Wilderness First Responders) |
